Welcome to Lexi Reeds Editing Services (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website (lexireeds.com.au) and services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

We provide professional editing services, including but not limited to:

Proofreading
Copyediting
Developmental editing
Manuscript assessment

All services are subject to availability and agreement on scope, pricing, and deadlines.

2. Quotes & Payment

Quotes are provided based on the information you supply. Final pricing may change if the scope differs from the original brief.
A deposit (typically 30–50%) may be required before work begins.
Full payment must be made before final delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Payments are accepted via Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe, Bank Transfer. This will be discussed in the initial consultation.

3. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are estimates and depend on project length and complexity.
Delays caused by late submission, incomplete files, or additional requests may affect delivery dates.
Rush services may incur additional fees.

4. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide complete and accurate materials
Ensure you have the legal right to submit the content
Clearly communicate expectations, style preferences, and deadlines

5. Revisions

We offer up to 3 rounds of revisions per project (if applicable).
Additional revisions may incur extra charges.
Revisions must be requested within 7 of final product delivery.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your manuscript at all times.
We do not claim any rights over your work.
We may request permission to use anonymised excerpts for portfolio purposes.

7. Confidentiality

All client materials are treated as strictly confidential. We will not share, publish, or distribute your content without your explicit consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

Editing is subjective, and while we strive for high-quality results, we do not guarantee perfection or publication success.
We are not liable for any losses, damages, or missed opportunities arising from the use of our services.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.
If a project is cancelled mid-way, you will be invoiced for work completed up to that point.
Refunds are not provided for completed services.

10. Website Use

Content on this website is for general information only.
You agree not to misuse the website or attempt to disrupt its functionality.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
